Our Values

We do more than what you think.

Marriage & Family
God instituted marriage in the beginning of creation. Marriage is a covenant relationship between a man and woman joined together as husband and wife. For this reason, Children are a product of the covenant relationship. A healthy marriage should provide a loving, life-giving context for raising children in the fear and instruction of the Lord. It is the foundation of the family, the basic structure of human society. Genesis 2:24;
diversity
God has made every person imprinted with God’s image worthy of dignity, respect, and honour. In that image, we find unity in Christ. The diversity of ethnicity, gender and age allows believers to extend God’s love to all people irrespective of their differences. The segmentation of society resulting in racism, sexism, elitism or any other type of discrimination is contrary to the heart of God and God’s desire for people.

Effective communication

Telling the truth in love, verification without assumption. Ephesians 4:15 AMP, Col 4:6; Proverbs 18:21

Acceptance

Accepting and valuing you in the way you are without judging. Romans 15:7; John3:16; Luke 19:10; Titus 3:

Christ’s representative

Representing Jesus Christ anywhere, any time. 2Cor. 5:20; 1peter 2:9

Prayer

Men ought to always pray and not to faint. Luke 18:1; Every Child of God must develop a culture of prayer

Worship

Worship is a central part of our relationship and fellowship with God. We worship in spirit and in truth. John4:24;

Submission

To the word of God and the leading of the holy spirit. 2Tim. 3:16,17; Romans 8:5,6

Love (demonstrating the fruits of the spirit)

is a mark of a true believer. Everyone who is alive is recipient and beneficiary of God’s love. We do have a collective responsibility to practically extend God’s marvellous love to everyone in our sphere of influence just as Christ did. 1John 4:8; 1cor 16 :14; 1Cor 13:4-8; Romans 13:8

Giving

The word of God admonishes us to give and it should reflect out commitment to the Lord (Luke 21: 1-4) When you give, you give to the Lord. Giving to the church enables the church to fulfil the purposes of God and carry out kingdom work. With his scripture in mind, we would like to encourage you to give to the church generously and regularly. Whether those who want to contribute, support the church ministries or those who are new and would like to make DLCC their home.

Salvation, Discipleship and Spiritual Maturity

Being save is the beginning of your Christian journey – just like a new born baby requires milk for growth and development similarly, a newly saved believer would require to be fed with spiritual milk – which is the (truth) of Gods’ word. 1Peter 2:1,2. Discipleship –Every discipled believer becomes a people influencer and developers for Christ. Hebrews 5:12-14; 1cor 3:1-3; Mathew 28:18-20; 2Timothy 2:1,2; John 13:34-35; Hebrews 6:1; 2Timothy 3:16

Partnering

A partnering Church consistently collaborating with other like-minded churches and ministries in our region, and globe to make kingdom impact in partnership because we are truly better together.
